Lots of German Spectrum games/programs preserved, all the German users, HELP identifying and classifying them

Whether it's Mire Mare or a BASIC tape you found in the attic, it needs to be preserved digitally. Post here and experts can help to do so.

I think soon there will be another batch of recovered programs/games posted in the site of El Trastero :)

Danke!
De nada! :)

Seems you are right. The game is from here:

Kunibert game looks like the one already available at SC (from Homecomputer magazine) with almost same UDG graphics, but the one at El Trastero is more simple. Maybe a first version?

And the 4th batch!

https://trastero.speccy.org/2023/IVAN/C ... 21a23A.htm

Programs to closely watch:

-Amiga ball Demo: It seems quite advanced for a homebrew demo. This probably is from the late 80s and maybe @XTM could shed some light? :o

-Skisprung: Somewhat more sofisticated game

-Biathlon (also a bit more complex)

-Helikopter

Anybody who has some info or memories from these games/programs, bitte sagen sie hier :) (please let us know)

The original Amiga Ball was a type-in from a 1986 magazine, I only remember that because I have in fact typed in that listing back in 1987 or so. I managed to find it here:
Happy Computer, issue 8/1986 (August), page 79-80
Author: Frank Andert (the name is shown in the very first line of the Basic listing)

The one you uploaded is the result you'll get after running the Basic listing in the magazine (which I remember taking a very long time), where once finished it saves a code file containing the animation frames and some additional code.

There is a demo from 1992 which seems to contain exactly the same ball, but it credits an entirely different author name, so I assume that guy "stole" it.

Thanks for the info! Now that Demos are being submitted to the SC database, maybe we will see this one soon here (with the right author :D not the one that stole it hehe)

The fifth batch of 20 German games/programs is out! This time is more about utilities, if you want to organise your home, Haushalt, your shopping (Einkauf hilfe), and also some Spectrum-related help (some Czech people will quickly notice the character present in Layout 86 :) )

The most arcad-ish one is probably "Mond":

And the sixth batch of German programs!

This time is a lot of utilities and programs (music and so on). In this case the need of German natives is probably even more needed, as they are difficult to identify or check if they are type-ins/translations:

The seventh batch is already available (for a few days already), and this one may be much more interesting, with some games that probably were done with some machine code already (also some from Aquarius publisher -there seemed to be some connection between Italian publishers and German ones-)

https://trastero.speccy.org/2023/IVAN/C ... 28a31A.htm

Anyone that wants to participate in identifying or providing more info is welcome :)

Crush up is Thrusta slightly modified.
Staeerke is Mr Wong's Loopy Laundry.
The Wizard is Cavelon.

Aquarius indeed tried to sell the magazine in Germany with the name ZX-Soft (IIRC). They featured many on-tape articles about the Spectrum, some utilities and a few games, mostly cracked. Edicola8bit has the dumps and scans of the Italian version of Run but they haven't yet separated the single programs nor resolved the cracks.

The eight batch is here!

And this is probably going to be the most interesting with some more complex games:

-3D Tennis
-Biathlon
-Sports Hero
-Glab
-Banana Trouble

And some romantic stuff, from Wolfgang to Claudia :D

Please, have a look and if you know more about these games, bitte let us know!

Ah, I forgot Runblaster. IDK its original title, but it was published on Run n.4.

This last dump rings no bells unfortunately.

OK this is weird. Some of these programs come from 16/48 magazine, which was the Italian version of the UK magazine with the same name. On the inlay, it's stated that it's an official translation of the British magazine, anyway that they had some differences and only a few games were translated.

One of the games, Avvent#7, is clearly one of the many episodes of Long Way Home volume 1. Perhaps the #7? Also Paolo & Piera and Modem Club have the 16/48 logo on them.

BUT
As we can see from the dumped Italian 16/48s https://www.edicola8bit.com/giochi.php? ... 16_48&id=1 these programs aren't there. There are only 6 issues, so there isn't a 7th episode of Long Way Home, and neither Paolo & Piera nor Modem Club.

So my guess is that they come from a (until today) lost 7th issue of the Italian 16/48 magazine.

I didn't know that 16/48 was published also in Germany anyway.

The XXI installment of the series is also now online, with many programs, specially for your house accounting, some graphics utilities and other available.

Also some excitement with a picture of Marilyn Monroe :D

A game, Enterprise, seems to be already preserved from a magazine, as well as Qubert.
