Bill Gates wrote the 6502 basic used in the C64 - he's also trying to inject microchips into everyone (probs 6502s, as used by the terminator? Although maybe it was a 6809 as used in Robotron).

I run Stable Diffusion on the PC and pretty much any resolution can be defined but the AI is trained on square images (512x512 on SD, 1024x1024 for SDXL) so most of the online stuff sticks to what it's trained on.

He has the look of a chap who's just cleaned his mansion.

Ah, another Stable Diffusion user. And beat me to the post. I think there was also a 720x720 training set, but it was deeply unpopular (Because they reduced the amount of porn that they trained it on!).
As was basically said: AI was trained on square images of a specific resolution, so the further you get from that, the worse the results. It is better to crop or use effects afterwards.
I am suprised that nobody has mentioned the sets on Civitai. There has been a model on there, trained on zx spectrum screenshots, for quite a while. If you plug the model into a compatible AI program (running on your own graphics card) it will try and make images trained on the speccys graphics limitations, and our artists sensibilities. I did not make this model.
https://civitai.com/models/93375/zx-spe ... style-beta
It is, urm, not very good. There are examples of results to see at that link. (There are only two, and they are bad. It does a little better in practice, but not much).
( In general, Civitai is not work safe. Without a free account, Civitai aims to hide all rude images, but it sometimes fails).
I notice a second spectrum model has appeared on Civitai recently.
https://civitai.com/models/105561/zx-spectrum
I have not tried it yet, but it also looks quite bad. (It looks like you need to enter "<lora:zxs:1>" for it to be strict on the speccy limitations, otherwise it will not look very spectrum at all.)
I have been meaning to have a go at making a better model for speccy screenshots and in-game images, but not actually got around to it. Plus I don't need the electricity bill that training generates.

Uh, it appears that Bing's new AI image prompt (that started this thread) only works on M$ Edge.
I don't have the Edge. Ho Humm. I guess I will stick with Stable Diffusion 1111. It's a shame. From the images here, Bing does a lot better on rendering text than I have seen elsewhere. I loved the first few Ultimate images too.

Not a loading screen but some nice box art.
"Dozy looking red maggot emerges from a hole in the the ground facing right next to a cup of tea. A dozy looking bee flies from the the left above a pink and white spotted mushroom growing from the ground. Shrubbery can be seen behind the maggot."
I particularly liked the combination mushroom and tea cup in the first one.
