Unfortunately I couldn't get an attack helicopter to shrug.

@C.Born has created a copy of the Lord of the Rings image. This is GigaScreen, so only works on emulators that support this. Chris recommends Retro Virtual Machine. The file is attached.

That face looks just like Hilary Clinton.

Other images (first I tried Craiyon, but it's rubbish so switched to Adobe Firefly):

This was Kokotoni Wilf.
I tried to edit the original post but couldn't. Is editing disabled on the forum?

That's worked pretty well for FEUD. The left hand one is dressed in purple at least.
Re: Using A.I to recreate ZX Spectrum loading screens.
Very cool. What was the search prompt, and which engine? I can't get Midjourney to spell the simplest word properly.
Re: Using A.I to recreate ZX Spectrum loading screens.
My first thought was Yie Ar Kung Fu, but maybe Bruce Lee and Great Yamo is more likely?
Re: Using A.I to recreate ZX Spectrum loading screens.

afaik it works on all emulators but only a few have correct timing, so this IS an "eleptic worning" moment but only if yr emulator is out-of-sync
it Does work on a real Toastrack, the other version was tested on real hardware.
now i have to pudding it, probably?

Heh. Horace goes Skiing and Sweevo.
Getting Horace is surprisingly hard to do - even 'blue blob with eyes, one arm and legs' takes some disturbing avenues.

Re: Using A.I to recreate ZX Spectrum loading screens.
"giant furry head with large sunken eyes and small legs on skis on a snow hillside, horror style" was the prompt and the other three pics produced weren't great.
Re: Using A.I to recreate ZX Spectrum loading screens.
"a ominous hungry bird named SQIJ is diving on the viewer, BUT it's also the worst videogame ever and the bird is more like a paralyzed duck"
To be fair, I didn't expect it to write the caption. I didn't notice it until I downloaded the image.
Re: Using A.I to recreate ZX Spectrum loading screens.
I also went with some Horace:
and this, clearly not Horace
