Absolutely love Quazatron. Completed it many times. Even though it's based on the principles of Paradroid the isometric platforming makes it unique again.
I had high hopes for its sequel -- Magnetron -- but was utterly let down by it.

I don't have anything cool to put here, so i'll just be off now to see a priest with yeast stuck between his teeth and his friend called Keith who's a hairpiece thief...

1. Ironman. Love this game. I like driving games and this one is one of the best.
2. Quazatron. Ok game. I played a bit but it feels very samey very quickly.
3. Astro Clone. It was not fun, ridiculously hard shooter and the adventure part is even harder. Still worth a 3rd place.

~~~
Just outside this list
5. Intensity. It's such a great idea but somehow feels missing just the most important thing: This should have been a mouse controlled game. Because that's what this game is, a very RTS game but controlled with a cursor. That made the game basically unplayable and hard to control. Colourful background and missing a charming main player character (should have been a frog if you ask me) and very frantic gameplay too.
4. Ranarama. Lovely game but somehow I'm not into it.
1. Quazatron
2. Astroclone
3. 3D Sieddab Attack
Some excellent games here. Quzatron was simply brilliant. Astroclone was fascinating but I have no idea what I was supposed to do. I somehow lasted ages playing it and just exploring. When I think of 3D Sieddab (‘baddies’ backwards), I’m greeted by a feeling of contentment. Maybe it was the game or maybe being round my mate’s.
1. Quazatron
2. Avalon
3. Ranarama
Honorable mentions go to Lunattack, Dragontorc, Intensity, and Ironman. Magnetron isn't bad but it'd have been better if they'd kept the circuit game.
A word also has to be said for Andrew Braybrook who helped design several of the games in the poll, while Steve Turner supplied the music for a lot of his. Still, he was mostly a C64 guy, so he's probably not getting a poll on here.
1 Ranarama
2 Avalon
3 Astroclone
A genuinely tough choice for my top three here. Seems to be one of those developers who consistently made good quality games.
1. Quazatron. Still enjoyable today.
2. Ranarama.
3. Ivan.
How did Magnetron get a vote? Game's a lemon.
Quazatron has won this by country m... er... light year! 25 votes go to it.
A rather distant second is Ranarama, Hewson's Gauntlet-but-not-really-Gauntlet game, with 9 votes.
Ivan 'Ironman' Lots Of Words Stewart's Mega Super More Words Off Road Some More Words To Make It Longer by Virgin games is third with 4 votes.
Fourth place is Astroclone, with 3 votes.
Joint fifth is Avalon and Dragontorc, both with 2 votes each.
Joint sixth: 3D Seiddab Attack and Magnetron, 1 vote each.
Quite a similar story on the proportional results:
Quazatron by Hewson 27
Ranarama by Hewson 16
Avalon by Hewson 11
Astroclone by Hewson 9
Dragontorc by Hewson 5
Ivan 'Ironman' Stewart's Super Off Road by Virgin Games 5
Intensity by Firebird 2
3D Seiddab Attack by Hewson 1
3D Space-Wars by Hewson 1
Magnetron by Firebird 1
Interesting to not that 'Seiddab Attack' refers to 'Baddies', it's the word spelt backwards! Which means that in Lunattack, you fight Kcattanul and in 3D Space-Wars, you're facing off against deadly Sraw-Ecaps.
