It might have killed a keyboard or two but there's an obvious winner here.

1. Daley Thompson's Decathlon
2. The Bobby Yazz Show - A great cover
3. Transversion

An honourable mention also goes to Cavelon.

Daley Thompsons is just so much more iconic than anything else on the list. Hunchback was an early spectrum title that fascinated at the time, but hasn't aged well.

1. Transversion
2. Cavelon
3. Dragon Spirit

I always preferred HyperSports over Daley, I’m afraid. There was something just a tad more iconic in Joffa’s sprites.

I recall many a happy hour playing Transversion and Cavelon and can still hear the Cavelon tune in my head. I think I had a demo of Dragon Spirit on a cover tape (YS?) and was impressed but never bought the full price game as games were becoming harder to find and I usually went after compilations and to boost my bucks.

A varied and strong portfolio, I think!

By far the most played out of this list, voted 1st is...

Transversion (i helped make a wonderful remake of this for PC - by Caffeine Kid).
Robot Messiah
Xecutor
I don't have anything cool to put here, so i'll just be off now to see a priest with yeast stuck between his teeth and his friend called Keith who's a hairpiece thief...

Wow, this guy had made a lot of equally good games in many different genres. I'm impressed!

They're all pretty good, so the choice for me is more like what I personally like than how great the game is.

1. Bobby Yazz. This game is just great, all kind of stuff going on, and even the stuff in between is great.
2. Xecutor. I'm really bad at space shooters, but I still recognise this as one of his greatest games.
3. GunRunner. I just like a horizontal scrolling shooter.

The rest of his stuff are also great too.

I just wanted to say that I wish he had the time to finish Head the Ball, because this could have been a fantastic game.

I was thinking the same thing. I voted for Decathlon because I played the crap out of it way back. Such a fun game! But the man clearly has an impressive portfolio of varied games. One of the top talents on the speccy surely.

By a very far distance (how appropriate), Daley Thompson's Decathlon is the standout winner here, with 21 votes.

A distant second - 4 votes goes to Cavelon.

In third place we have Transversion - 3 votes, ensuring the top three are all Ocean-branded efforts.

Fourth place: 2 votes each to Dragon Spirit; Snoopy and Xecutor.

Fifth place: 1 vote each to The Bobby Yazz Show; Gunrunner; Hunchback; Little Puff and Robot Messiah.

The proportional results are also dominated by that well-known keyboard masher:

Daley Thompson's Decathlon by Ocean 15
Bobby Yazz Show, The by Cybadyne Software 7
Transversion by Ocean 7
Cavelon by Ocean 5
Snoopy by The Edge 5
Little Puff by Cartoon Time 4
Robot Messiah by Alphabatim 4
Xecutor by ACE 3
Dragon Spirit by Domark 2
Gunrunner by Hewson 1
Hunchback by Ocean 1
