It's difficult doing a proper crossword (rotational symmetry and proper crossers so defo no more than 3 non-crossing letters in a row - I'm looking at you Metro cryptic crossword) themed on speccy games though.

I remember the clue. What do you mean about the credit, though?

SUBTRACTIVE. This is a particularly important case. Words like "lacking" require letters to be taken away.

Consider this example, which is a modification of a clue by STeaM:

Canonised pigs lost one Roman wargame. [8]
Spoiler
The answer is STONKERS.
"Canonised" gives you ST, the abbreviation for "saint". "Pigs" are OINKERS. "Lost one Roman" means to take away I (the Roman
numeral 1). "Wargame" is the straight clue.

I'm not angry about the credit just disappointed I only joined this forum this year and thought I would search for other stuff I had participated in (by searching my username with or without space of course) and found the shocking misattribution I thought I'd better not necro a years old thread though!

That was a good thread on the other forum I remember my PC exploding soon afterwards though so forgot about it for a few years though.
