Definitely not Stonkers (I seem to recall it crashing a lot).

I only really played that and Frankie (confusing) and Zzoom which I played a lot (games took ages though) so my vote goes to Zzoom.

I’ve completed Frankie and it’s a most satisfying game. In fact, I’d say one of my favourite Speccy games and one I’ve come back to as an adult many years later. GftG is a good wander around but I hadn’t a clue what I was doing.

Zzoom was fun but felt like you were always up against losing shields with no way to fully recover. So even if you were good, you’d still lose eventually. But, as I say, still fun.

1. Frankie - No joking around, this game is a masterpiece. One of the finest pieces of work from Denton Designs who were definitely more than the sum of their parts.
2. Stonkers - I genuinely like this game; it's a bit simple with limited replay value but it awakened a lifelong interest in RTS games for me, and I don't even really it crashing that often.
3. Gift From the Gods - The first Denton Designs game, and somewhat salvaged from the wreckage of Bandersnatch. It doesn't come together quite so well as Frankie, and there's lots of aimless running around until you figure out that you've got to start mapping everything, but there's a decent game in there when you work out what you've got to do.

Zzoom gets an honourable mention, but I think it's more of a tech demo than a finished game.

Frankie was just class. Such an original game for possibly one of the strangest licences ever.

Indirectly, this poll has got me back on my piano working out the chords to Power of Love as I’ve been humming Frankie songs for a week. Additionally, a lad I was in a band with 20 years ago is now Holly Johnson’s lead guitarist!
