Nothing to do with your dyslexia, every forum I have been on that uses phpBB software has this annoying condition, waiting anything up to 15 seconds in some cases before I can continue searching. Why it should be I cannot say so you just have to live with it.

As far as I know, guests can search every 30 seconds, and logged-in users every 10 seconds (see viewtopic.php?p=106540 ).

It can be annoying to wait when you want to retype something or get the next page of results (I know I've had enough trouble with it when trying to find that one post from long ago), but the limit is in place to restrain CPU and disk usage on the server - a search is quite an intensive operation to carry out, so stopping people from doing it so often can save a lot of resources when it comes to things like automated bots.
