Testing vector games I've just stumbled into Protron, Rafael Garcia (Spain), 1986 (https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.p ... 6&id=17032), published on the Enter Spectrum cassette magazine. The way it generates the random map is really interesting.

Emilio Butragueño Fútbol by Topo.

It hasn't aged very well, but back in the day was a good conversion of the superb Tehkan World Cup arcade game. Many hours playing it in those days.

...And unlike most football titles, the loading screen actually bears a vague resemblance to the player...

Have been having a go at Astro Blaster, Quicksilva 1983.

Keep coming unstuck in the asteroid bits. It's easy to lose a few lives in succession. Very nice shooter though.

Can't remember if I ever used to play it much in the 80s.. Very playable game though.

Oh, the recording is just from ZX Spin, which has a recording menu (Recording > Video > Configure Output and select 'Animated GIF').

Looks rather simple. And definitely not official and licensed ;)
But still you can feel some true young passion behind it.

Android One by Vortex Software. One of the first Spectrum games I've ever played. Very cool, but I've always thought a bit longer map would have been great. A nice game, anyway.

Just gave it a try. The wizard jumps as if he were Daley Thompson.

Hard to control.

Something tells me you like this game!

I never really got into it, found it hectic in an unfair way. Why do you like it so much?

I liked it. Was mesmerized by it, in fact. Tough as nails, but definitely has the “one-more-try” factor to it.

Perhaps it's a riddle, he's trying to tell us something.

It's an anagram of 'thrifty rummy bozos'.

But what does it mean?...

I liked Zythum. It's really playable and actually not that hard.
I'm not any kind of a great player but could reach in the 80s without any pokes the 4th last level.
And 15 years later I finally completed it on emulator, with a litlle help of snapshots ;)

You know very well what it means.

Zythum by Mirrorsoft is not difficult. It's playable.

I don't know/don't remember how mr Daley Thompson jumps, but in Zythum you jump diagonally and then you sort of glide down, again diagonally.
You can control the length of your jump by controlling its height. The higher, the longer. Just keep pressed the jump button until you think you're high enough to glide to the spot you intend to land on. You have to mentally visualize the trajectory.

This is Zythum by Mirrorsoft.

I hate sex.

Just had a look and Zythum, by Mirrorsoft is missing English .txt instructions in case anyone has them.
