Your favorite 3 Homebrew Spectrum games?
Your favorite 3 Homebrew Spectrum games?
I created a thread in Twitter for people to vote for their best 3 Homebrews for Spectrm, but it would be nice if you could vote here too, I will write a Little article after that
Re: Your favorite 3 Homebrew Spectrum games?
It might be a daft question, but, what constitutes a Homebrew game for Speccy? Are you talking about games that have been written since the last commercial speccy game was released? If that's the case then I'd go with:
1 - Multi-Dude
2 -Alter Ego
3 - Snake Escape
Three astounding games.

Precisely.
I gave my answer on Twitter, and incidentally, Alter Ego was also my number two choice.
Every man should plant a tree, build a house, and write a ZX Spectrum game.

Re: Your favorite 3 Homebrew Spectrum games?
I'm going to take 'favourite' as distinct from 'best', so here is a list of games that I keep returning to, in no particular order:
Tricky, but if a Magnun Phaser Lightgun was put to my head then I'll trim it down to:Catacombs of Balachor
Alter Ego
Sid SPanners
Slubberdegullion
Bouncing Bomb Redux
Buzzsaw+
Clopit
Dingo
Albatrossity
Lunaris
Egghead
More Tea Vicar
Forest Raider Cherry
Berksman
Lost in my Spectrum
Genesis: Dawn of a New Day
Rough Justice
Telly Heroes
I chose these 3 because I probably play them the most, and often bother to load them up on real hardware.1 - Catacombs of Balachor ( an amazing debut, with charm and character, and a high replayability factor)
2 - Slubberdegullion (an inspired combination of thrust and cybernoid)
3 - Dingo (who cares that it's the same level over and over, it's a very good one, good enough to keep me playing until level 85!)
- Juan F. Ramirez
