Code masters Game Genie

Post by PeterJ »

The BBC Archive page on Facebook has some brilliant old TV snippets. This is about the Code masters Game Genie released in 1993.

You should hopefully be able to view this without a Facebook account.

"For Richard Darling, this £70,000 sports car is one of the spoils of victory..."

...a Lotus Elan, and not the 1960s original? A badly-built roadster with front wheel drive and a steering rack built like a Toblerone bar so that it'd snap? SEVENTY GRAND? Even an Esprit wouldn't cost that much, and £100k would buy a Lamborghini Diablo in the early 1990s. It's at times like this I wish I hadn't thrown out all those old issues of Parker's Car Price Guide that listed the original purchase price. £17k I can believe - that's about what a Mazda MX-5 cost. Whoever was working on this report at the time should at least have run it past William Woollard first.
Spectribution: Dr. Jim's Sinclair computing pages.
Features my own programs, modified type-ins, RZXs, character sets & UDGs, and QL type-ins... so far!
