Re: Innsmouth
I’m completely stuck on this. I’ve got the fish and the bottle and I’ve given the fish to the boy in the grocery store and had the bottle filled with liquor. There doesn’t appear to be anything else to do. Any hints would be appreciated!
Re: Innsmouth
having received liquor again walk around the city
Re: Innsmouth
Need to get around to giving this one a go. I've got as far as downloading it!

Re: Innsmouth
Such a beautiful, atmospheric game. Would make a good backdrop for a Scooby-Doo game!
Re: Innsmouth
Had a go at the demo (sorry, I'm too cheapskate to pay for digital Speccy games ).
It's been a while since I read Mr Lovecraft's books but it's nicely presented, and has a very Cthulhoid(?) atmosphere that brought back memories... Love the extra art and little touches like the PDF map of Innsmouth, and in game the objects and directions are presented in an imaginative way.
Only thing I wasn't too keen on was that the location description gets cleared when you take any actions, so I had to type LOOK pretty much every other move. It wouldn't normally be a problem, but it means I was using up an extra (of very few) turns every other command as I had to keep reminding myself what else was in the location.
I did like the way you can examine things on multiple levels and responses are detailed. And it's a nice touch the way those dialogue options get launched (saves on the fingers a bit for forcing repeat SAY/TALK commands!).

Re: Innsmouth
Finally got around to playing this one. I haven't really got very far and I'm probably using way too many of the limited moves to eliminate options (Still, I guess I can save state my way through to save on those!)
