I think it's the first time ever I've seen this error while looking the forums:
"General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysqli ]

Too many connections [1040]

An sql error occurred while fetching this page. Please contact an administrator if this problem persists."

It was only for some minutes +-

Yes, @+3code, this happens with too many people accessing the site.

The site uses 'shared hosting' to keep the costs down, so resources are limited.

Today I see itch.io is down so it might be something more global than SC only.
