Mission Jupiter by Codemasters.
A simple horizontal shooter. Not bad for a budget game.

It's okaysh, but I've played just once or twice, not a fan.Juan F. Ramirez wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 10:23 pm Last Mission by US Gold. I've never liked it much. Any fan of it out there?
Lately I'm playing:
and I'm losing each and every game.

Don't think I ever played Cyrus chess, though remember it mentioned a lot in the 'early days'.
That colour scheme is quite garish..

You can change all the colours anyway.
Re: Game of the day...
Like, if you're losing you could switch from white to black..?

Re: Game of the day...
Must try that. It could be my only chance.
Re: Game of the day...
Being 30 year old this year, I'm trying Stormlord, which I've never played at the time. Easy it is not.
Re: Game of the day...
Happy birthday Cruelman! You're getting younger ;-p
Stormlord is another classic game that I never got around to playing first time, and really should give it a proper go.
Re: Game of the day...
Thank you R-Tape, I think I'll stop around 22.

Every man should plant a tree, build a house, and write a ZX Spectrum game.

Kendo Warrior [Byte Back]
Mixing beat'em up's and maze games, like Saboteur. Neat graphics.

Stormlord, Hit, The Real Ghostbusters, Kendo Warrior: all 1989's games just like:
Sidewinder II [Mastertronic Plus]
Cautious and moderately paced vertical shoot'em up.

Satan [Dinamic Software, 1989]
A strange Dinamic game in which it's hard to die and there aren't colourful but clashy graphics, they're in fact small and monochrome.
Your character is an agile guy jumping, clinging and climbing with ease while collecting power up's and annihilating dozen of monsters.
It's playable. Dunno if it can hold one's interest for long though.

Re: Game of the day...
That sums it up nicely. It's pretty good, but to me it seems like an accomplished tech demo with placeholder graphics, waiting for the artists to give it a personality.

Viaje al Centro de la Tierra [Toposoft]
I can't even get past the chart map section.

In fact I'm puzzled.

Fired up my (so far) trusty +2, and played the Cronosoft release of Buzzsaw+ until the level 4 cutebots handed me my arse.

Mummy! Mummy! by Mc Lothlorien.
A not-bad version of the arcade classic Panic, which I love in every version.

Still can't get past the first level of The Untouchables. 70% is my top completion score.
