Hi!
I have uploaded a new BETA version of ZEsarUX 7.2
You can download a compiled version for Mac or Windows from:
https://github.com/chernandezba/zesarux/releases
Linux and other O.S. users, you can compile from source code.
Changes in this beta version:
Version 7.2. 19 December 2018 - Neula edition
Added setting to specify configuration file
Improved menu environment:
* Added new menu window type: ZX Vision. GUI Windows can be moved, resized, scrolled, minimized, closed, and change the focus to the background
* Warning and Error window messages now show an animation
Added key to save text windows contents to a file
Added setting to send a final space after every word in the osd adventure keyboard
Added Dandanator CPC emulation
Added machine Amstrad CPC 4128
Improved ZRCP:
-commands smartload and snapshot-load are more intelligent now
-running in verbose or limit mode, or cpu-step command, can now update the display inmediately (having real video setting on)
Improved vu-meters: high volumes are shown in red
Improved sprite viewer: you can view sprites up to 512x512
Improved disassemble window:
*now you can export the disassemble to text file
*you can now see the full opcode when debugging Sinclair QL
*you can now show/hide hexadecimal dump of every opcode
Fixed visual glitches in some menus when Pentagon machine and real video: audio wave, visualmem, ay piano, wave piano, view sprites
Fixed visual glitches in some menus when interlaced enabled: audio wave, visualmem, ay piano, wave piano, view sprites
Fixed audio bug: sending a sample to the DAC by using Next registers, it wasn’t reseting the silence detection counter, so sound would probably be frozen (and repeated again, and again...)
Fixed autoload on tbblue (on normal and also fast boot mode)
Enjoy!
Cheers
Cesar
Notice: The server being rebooted at 13:00 BST to try and solve speed issues.

You know from my previous messages that I love ZEsarUX, however on Windows I still have the issue with the audio with 'clicking' and slight distortion in places. I've tried the threads and non thread versions on various bits of kit.
Have you had much other feedback on this? Is this a know issue with SDL?
Still a great emulator, that just gets more and more great features with every update.

Re: ZEsarUX 7.2 BETA
Hi
I know, some users are reporting this. However, I haven't changed anything about this so the problem is still there.
And I think since I changed from mono audio to stereo, the problem has become worse
Cheers

Re: ZEsarUX 7.2 BETA
I like the great amount of features and hardware supported. Great work with that!
Indeed the audio skips and clicks a bit. The emulation itself has timing issues, it's not smooth.
Full screen mode seems to be fixed at 1280x720@60hz
Perhaps using a 4:3 resolution at 50Hz will help to solve timing issues.

Can I ask what the 'Speccy Superupgrade' as mentioned in the list of features is. I googled it and couldn't find anything.
Also, I checked out the sound with v7.1 on Debian linux. 'Clicking' was almost non existent, but audio playback on things like Crystal Dizzy 2017 not great.
Thanks.

The typical “clicking” is present on some windows, not on Linux or Mac; the last ones can have some audio issues but they are not the same as windows

I mentioned all this a couple of times before, tried to get some more answers but I just got pure ignorance...4thRock wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 10:16 am I like the great amount of features and hardware supported. Great work with that!

Maybe you'll have better luck.

I hope you understand that it’s not easy to stay up to date with answers in all the forums and social networks I’m present, right?
Anyway, this is a free product, you are not paying anything to use it and I have no obligation with anyone
Merry Christmas
