Viking - Adventures in italiano #04

Whether it's Mire Mare or a BASIC tape you found in the attic, it needs to be preserved digitally. Post here and experts can help to do so.

I've been looking at Bonaventura di Bello's text adventures recently. He was amazingly prolific. I don't think we've even got all his games listed on CASA at the moment. http://solutionarchive.com/list/author%2C762/

We do have some of the games collected together under the Viking banner http://solutionarchive.com/list/company%2C1486/ together with some information about the various (excellently named!) characters that appear in them.

Thanks for sharing this!

At some moment I was interested in Italian games for Spectrum and remember this man called Bonaventura di Bello. He was coding text adventures like a demon. Just have a look:

He's even on Wikipedia :)

Speaking of the games, as far as I know there was never an attempt to store full Italian compilations on WOS and later on ZXDB. So I would suggest just to add the files to already existing MIA entries. They would be:

That's because most of the italian covertapes were made of pirated games.

Just a few magazines only contained original material, and they should be preserved as a whole IMHO: Viking, Epic 3000, Super Sinc, 16/48, Radio Elettronica & Computer, Video Basic and maybe some more I can't remember at present.

Another handful were made part of original material, part of pirated software (Load'n'run, Run, Computer Games & Utilities). On WOS only the single, original, titles are present. I agree, this is the best way to preserve them.

The remaining magazines were entirely made of pirated software: Special Program, Special Playgames, Special Games, Linguaggio Macchina, to name a few. These are not on WOS and neither should be IMHO. You can find many of them here:
