Author links are absolute http

Post by Stefan »

While working through the magazine interviews I noticed that some of the links I was pasting into the google sheet were sometimes http://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/...

On the details page - for example https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/index.php?cat=96&id=547 the anchors (a href) pointing to: A rewrite rule (or so) is ultimately redirecting http://spectrumcomputing.co.uk back to https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk.
 1. why are the spectrumcomputing.co.uk hrefs absolute? If they were relative then this problem would not exist
 2. if there is a good reason for using absolute urls then please make them consistent (ie https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk)

PeterJ All links look fine - just curious why the links are absolute and not relative?
