New game: Jungle Queen

Post by R-Tape »

Jungle Queen. A new action game from Gabam. It's a 4 level minigame, some of the collisions are dubious, and you'll probably need snapshots, but it's got some fantastic ideas and animations. Level 3 with the birds and rocks is best.

Here's the page over at zx.pk.ru, and its direct link for download. I guess the primary source is facebook.

Reminds me of Jungle Hunt on the Atari 2600.

It would be hard to play "honestly" for me but with snapshots it's actually enjoyable.

I like the graphics, it's a very colourful game which was always a big plus for me on Spectrum because we often got
monochrome or almost monochrome stuff.

I hope Gabriele does some final touches one day to it like dealing with bugs and quirks and adding some loading screen.
It certainly deserves it.

and i hope someday he stops wasting his potential abusing woefully inadequate engines over and over again and finds a real coder for his projects (or learns the z80 assembly himself)

Nice game. First level is easier than I thought at first, just a bit of patience!
