Spectrum Games on the Sam Coupe

Sorry for the (silly and a bit off-topic) question, but... can SAM Coupe load Spectrum games? Are compatible?

Probably worth starting a separate topic in an appropriate forum for that but, yes, with an appropriate emulator and ROM, you can play a wide variety of Spectrum games on the SAM... It was my main "Spectrum" for years, back in the day.

I suspect that, even in Spanish, the reality was slightly different to the hype. :) Loved my SAM, though.

The emulator that initially came with the SAM wasn't much good for playing Spectrum games. But there were soon decent third-party options, which allowed you to load in a copy of the Spectrum ROM, and run the majority of Spectrum 48K software.

I seem to remember that SC_Speclone was my emulator of choice... that had some neat options like the ability to use a SAM-connected printer with Spectrum software. https://www.worldofsam.org/products/scspeclone

128K Software was problematic, of course, although some titles were customised and adapted for use on the SAM.
