Has anyone purchased one of these? I know PaulJ reviewed it on his Spectrum Show:

I've read excellent reviews of it. It seems the solution of my problem with my Spectrum Plus connected to modern TVs. Its only problem is its price, in my opinion.

The alternative is a sort of 'surgery' I'm afraid to do, although some people here claim is easier than I think. I'm too clumsy to try!

I got my ZX-HD delivered from ByteDelight this Monday and I must say that I'm really impressed with it.
Picture is super clear and I think it is worth every penny.

I haven´t had the time to try any ULAplus programs yet though.

It seems compatible with DivMMC devices, doesn't it?

If so, it should have an additional slot at the back that we can't see.

Yes it is compatible, the ZX-HD has a through port on the back.
I use a "DivMMC EnJOY! PRO MINI" together with my ZX-HD and it works great.

Does anyone know anyone still supplies the pre-built TK-Pie from Victor Trucco?

I've found a bare PCB on eBay, but nothing else:

Thanks

Just came across this:

In this site:

It seems a cheaper alternative. Anyway it seems it needs soldering.

What do you think?

I went ahead and purchased the ZX-HD. It's very impressive. Only issues I have is that there is no sound over HDMI. The case is the normal ByteDelight affair, OK but not thick plastic. It's me being picky but it looks a little homebrew.

If you use real hardware a lot, I would recommend saving up for it (It's expensive). It also works fine with my Zaxon divNMC which has AY built in, so I just attached a pair of speakers.

The Spectra interface from Paul Farrow is also very good, especially if you have a 48K Spectrum and don't want to open it up, but want SCART. It's got lots of great features and the build quality and support is excellent.

That would be nice - no more dot crawl. S-Video to HDMI converters are very cheap but they need their own mains power supply so it's more clutter if you have an HDMI only modern TV. I'm going to wait until someone integrates that conversion into a tiny PCB like this one. A MicroHDMI socket would fit within the existing case cutout I reckon, and the converter chip could be powered by the Spectrum.

If you're in the UK, then the S-Video modulator replacements are also available from ZX Renew:

I'm not associated with them in any way, have just had my eye on one for some time now.
