Here I have a look at the Inves Spectrum+, an interesting Sinclair ZX Spectrum+ clone by Investronica, the same company that designed the ZX Spectrum 128K "Toastrack".

I didn't know it had a joystick interface. Cool.
And I read somewhere that some games had compatibility problems with this computer.
Nice video!

I really enjoy your video's. They are paced perfectly and are very informative. I also like the fact you do not edit out your mistakes. I eagerly await the conclusion to the very messy Spectravideo machine.

Thank you! I really appreciate that comment.
Especially in light of today's video and second part of that one. You could argue that the whole video is one big mistake :-b But I think it was interesting anyway since we get to go over all the color-generating circuitry to track down the annoying green tint:

Wrapping up the series on the Inves Spectrum with an interesting fix and an in-depth comparison to the Sinclair ZX Spectrum.

Very nice videos, I really enjoyed it.
btw, this acceleration is really interesting.
I know that Russian clones behave similarly for the same reason (lack of contended memory), but as far as I remember the acceleration is about 15%, mostly in 16k games, while in others its not noticed that much.
Also, Russian models do not have these drastic problems, which we have seen in Manic Miner, Arkanoid, etc.
One of the rare examples of incompatibility is in the game Aquaplane, where the full border effect is not complete, ofc there has been a fixed version for a long time.
I guess the reason is that the z80 in Russian clones does not work on such a modified clock as this Inves model.
I know that some emulators support this model, I just have to remember which one...
edit:
Just find it... RetroVirtual Machine and Zesarux supoort Inves Spectrum.
