Do you think implementing a scraper to download everything into one big collection would be possible?

I am sorry, ZXBrowser is intended to quickly explore and test any game, not as a download manager. At the moment, I don't plan to make that option to avoid saturating the servers.

This is great! One small issue I found was that when the path to the emulator contains a space, the "Open with..." command doesn't work (in Windows 10).

It's a collection for raspberry pi. I wonder if changes made by zxbrowser will be recognised by retropie, recallbox and alike.
