ZXBaremulator Saving code

Post by steven_upton »

Hi,

I have the ZXBaremulator running on my Raspberry Pi, and I can load TAP files OK.

Is it possible to save tap files? I wanted to do some programming and save my code.

Reading this steven_upton, it would appear not:

I believe that development on ZXBaremulator has halted. Please see here.

I'm not sure why the author feels a project which got so much positive feedback is a failed project and doomed from the start, but I doubt there will be any further updates.

Thanks for the update.

That's a shame. I really quite liked it.

I'll have to find an alternative... any suggestions?

I also think this was the most promising of projects, it was even featured in the magpi magazine in retrocomputing ie , connecting a keyboard up.
I have also created 2 spectrums running this amazing emulator using old cases. Hopefully the sourcecode is made available so the community can add , extend its functionality.

Fingers crossed

Mort, they look great.

My plus is similar but has far fewer wires. What is the board with the red and orange cable? That the LEDs?

The whole project cost me about £100.I did look to buy all brand new zx spectrum parts (£62) but i did`nt want the rubber keyboard so used ebay for a zx spectrum plus keyboard (£60) which i think looks better i also added micro sd extention cable and usb cables, the keyboard works as well. So here`s the pictures. ZXBaremulator made it perfect!!!

If its on the plus there is an exta led for power ,the strip is run off the usb port without any extra wiring necessary.

Hope that helps ;)
