How’s that even possible?
Every man should plant a tree, build a house, and write a ZX Spectrum game.

All of 10 minutes. Yes well done. A game that I don't think got the love it deserved. It's sort of what I Of The Mask was trying to be.
Re: Guess the screen$
The more impressive of those 'fractal' games, and an early FPS. A real shame they didn't improve the creature graphics over those ugly lo-res inflated hardware sprites from the Atari/C64 versions though.

I've never before seen The Eidolon but just took a look at a YouTube walkthrough and I'm pretty impressed. I don't recall seeing that graphical technique before on the Spectrum. What other games might've used it, I wonder?

Rescue on Fractalus and Koronis Rift, both by Lucasfilm, used the same fractal engine. Both are really good games and definitely worth trying out.5MinuteRetro wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 10:19 pmI've never before seen The Eidolon but just took a look at a YouTube walkthrough and I'm pretty impressed. Correct! I was staying with the fractal theme.

Good shout. That is one trippy game. I'm afraid I used to be very cruel to that Yoda-like alien.
