This is why I love 8-bit gfx. Leaves so much room for imagination!

Things I see here:
-a sulphuric volcano/geyser
-haystack on a windy day
-a hatching Alien pod

Graphic seems to me more comic-like. Scooby-Doo?

Scooby-Doo is essentially monochrome.
This one is not.

Don't be shy, just guess right away.
By some of your older posts, I believe you know this spot in the game well.

It's an animated object.
And it's unique in the whole game.

akeley wrote: Tue Nov 24, 2020 4:41 pm The ancient forum game, SC edition. Quick and dirty rules below, if this thread gets some traction we can tweak them further.

-we are guessing the names of ZX Spectrum games (1982-now )
-you can post a whole scr$ or just a part/detail, obviously it should be somewhat relative to the game's popularity
-if nobody guesses within 24 hrs the poster should start giving out some clues (year, genre, etc). This way we can have fun utilizing the wonders of ZXDB
-a person who guesses correctly posts the new scr$
-if a person guesses correctly but doesn't want to post a new scr$, they can say "pass", and then somebody else can take over
-one guess per post

Here's mine, have at it!

Ok, not wanting to diverge people from this thread, since i'm not one that brags all the time about it's stuff, but there's "my" project, online since 2003, called "Name the Game" more or less, the same idea, you are given a ingame screenshot of a spectrum game, and offered several choices to choose from to try and get the name of the game right. If you get it right, you earn one point, you if don't you loose one point.
As dificulty increases, you get more options to choose from, making it harder to "guess" the game.

If this seems a good fit for you, head over to https://name-the-game.net and join the other 377 players, trying to guess the names of the 1200 game available (next update will be over 12,000 games, yes, 12,000).

Once again, if anyone thinks this is not fit here, please advise.

name-the-game I forgot about that page to be honest, it must have been 10 years or more since I last visited it.

Nice to see that I am still number 1 :D

Edit: my last access to the website is dated... 28/09/2004 ?? :o

There's a list of number of players per country on that site ... wow, only two people from Germany despite it being the 2nd most populous European country (after Russia) ... almost shocking, I guess this shows just how outnumbered we were by the Commodores, Amstrads, Ataris etc

No.

More clues: This is a single most frustrating spot in the whole game.
I'd say anyone who played this game seriously would be haunted by this object in nightmares 8-)
