Hate to be the party pooper, but I don't! The snowflake animation causes the web browser to hog an entire core, which makes the CPU hot, which spins up the fans, which causes my PC to become excessively noisy.

It took quite an effort with the ad-blocker and style editor to kill the bl**dy thing!

Merry Christmas though!

I like the idea of it, but is there a way to turn the snow off?

So there's no way to toggle on/off by user?

See you all on the 27th then. Merry Christmas!

Please don't on my account! I kill stuff like that at the browser so it's not bothering me now. :)

Now I feel bad...

Funnily enough, about 5 years ago the intranet admins at work added something similar. People who left the web page open, but didn't realise what was going on, immediately started complaining that their computers were running slowly. The helpdesk was inundated.

Bah, humbug!

Typically ‘British’. There you are wandering what on earth is going on. What is this strange behaviour. Then the penny drops! It’s snow! You get all excited. And there it is, all gone. And as is typical, none of it settled :( Yet another ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ ‘flash in the pan’.

Still, at least now I don’t have to wander around looking to see if there is a new special lever to throw in the user control panel… (it was a tad annoying at first).

I wish good health and season greetings to all :D

Mark

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb :dance
Looking forward to summer later in the year.

Peter,

Not sure how feasible this is but can you not duplicate the default theme, add the js (if its that) to the duplicate then let users pick their theme via the UCP ?

That seems easier than alternatives.

Very good, Dave! True, here it's a very unlike phenomenon, but who knows, thanks to the climate change at last I'd see it in the future! :?
