Are you entirely sure of that? I've still got some Boots tapes somewhere and they're very obviously rebranded 1988 Maxell UDs.

Admittedly they're chrome tapes (hence UDII rather than UDI) and aren't going to be used for Spectrum games, but the point must be made!
Actually i got Boots/WHS the wrong way round.
