Hehe. Or an invigorating bidet, with that wonky battery.

(do people actually have bidets? I've never been to a house that has one)

We had a bidet growing up. Nice for soaking your feet in. That's what they're for, right?

This was your average 1970s house. There's a bit of the Abigail's Party about a bidet.

Some countries in Europe have bidets, but I've never seen them anywhere in Germany, at least in private residences. Not sure if some hotels would have them to cater for all international audiences.

And what's that nonsense about having a C5 for the loo? Add 59 to the number and you'll even have the proper colour for such "business"!

Just needs an over large rubber keyboard non-slip bath mat/shower mat.

Posh, because up until recently, the bathroom was often the smallest room in a typical U.K. house, so not really enough room for a bidet.

Ha! My parents bathroom is pretty small, but in the 70s a bidet must've been the kind of aspirational bottom douser that could really a shift a house...

The "master bathroom" in my childhood home had one, but I don't recall anyone ever using it. And it was olive green, natch.
P.S. I am Jet Set Willy.

Back on topic...

I don't like those designs. Would far rather they used graphics from classic games.

A forest scene created from Sabre Wolf graphics on the shower curtain would be cool, for instance.

Bidets are mandatory in Italian lodgings since 1975. I also found them in France, Spain, Portugal and Argentina.

The Japanese use a kind of technological apparatus for using the toilet as a bidet. Not as practical as the real thing in my opinion (tried it myself), but better than nothing.

Compulsory bidets! So if there's a single bidet to be found anywhere in the archive, it'll probably be from a Load 'n' Run game...

Or a JSW clone made by someone from the countries Alessandro mentioned ... The Bathroom with an extra sprite.

In other clones from countries that don't use toilets but just a hole ... hm, there are rooms in JSW 2 like that would fit: Seedy Hole, Incredible big hole in the ground (name spread across 3 rooms), The Hole with No Name :P

Dinking Vater ? (hopefully not)

The "Home for ZXMas" game on this year's WOOT has a screen that appears to be constructed entirely of toilets taken from various games. No bidet, however, and my favourite Speccy toilet (the retro long-chained one from Dynamite Dan) is conspicuous by its absence.

That screen was inspired by Alessandro's quiz, though I did find a few extra ones not seen there.

And indeed - not a bidet in sight.
