I am compiling a list of publishers of recent (21st century) Spectrum games on physical media. So far I came up with:

Re: Publishers of recent Spectrum software on physical media
Thank you, some of those publishers were completely unknow to me until now!
I guess that's the price you have to pay if you do not want to have anything at all to do with fakebook...
P.S. Hobby Retro does not sell recent games. But thank you anyway

Yes, it does, but their website is a little messy, to say the least. If you look closely, you will find recent titles there like La Coza de la Poza (The Doom of the Pond) or Project Vaelius. Also on the bottom of the website they announce new games they will release coming soon for the Spectrum and Amstrad CPC.Alessandro wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 5:08 pm Thank you, some of those publishers were completely unknow to me until now!

Thanks Audionautas. Yes, their website is not very easy to browse, in fact...
Andre Leao : Bitnamic publishes games made by Teknamic I had forgotten to include them on the list, then I remembered they recently released a very interesting 3D-isometric arcade adventure called Zoinho No Jardim Dos Tolos.

Hi Grussu, Filipe here
Bitnamic and Teknamic are from the same people, only one works in Brazil (Marcus Garrett) and the other in Portugal (me). We publish new games and re-release old brazilian/portuguese games with tweaks and updates, with the colaboration of many people from Portugal & Brasil. For example, "Em Busca dos Tesouros", a obscure brazilian game for the ZX81 from the eighties was re-released in 2019 with several fixes by Kelly Murta and a nice AY music by Pedro Pimenta. Amazônia 2020 as another example with fixes from Einar, loading screen by Andy Green, and music by Pedro Pimenta (again). And André Leão tested all games for us! Looking from that perspective we're not a publisher in the traditional sense, I supose... We try to honor the classics that were not well known in our own countries and we want to encourage the creation of games both in Brazil and Portugal. Laserbirds and Zoinho are two examples of that.

Olà Filipe!
For the purpose of my list - a section in the fifth chapter of the all-new, all-improved Spectrumpedia - Bitnamic is a publisher of new or revised games (like Amazonia and A Lenda Da Gavea, which I already mentioned in the first edition) on physical media. Therefore I included it

Does this include the "Arcade Collection" stuff released by Bubu ?
( Though I may just be ignorant of the criteria for this list, or a publishing pseudonym )

p13z : Well in theory yes, since he publishes his own titles on physical media, and is still active as of January 2022. However I seem to understand he did a very limited run of cassettes that are currently sold out, possibly like it happened with David Carbonell's Adventuras De Rudolphine Rur : https://www.rudolphinerur.com/blog/2020 ... phine-rur/
Re: Publishers of recent Spectrum software on physical media
Well, I'd like to know how do you know how many tapes sell the companies you put before, and why are they selling more than I am
I agree with p13z, I am a real physical tapes publisher, and not only publisher, but maker, and even developer. A full stack!!! So I shoeuld have been included in yout list But anyway, I don't mind not to be, I feel very good about with I'm doing.

Bubu , do you have a website?
Re: Publishers of recent Spectrum software on physical media
By the moment, this forum, and several FB groups

I would recommend itch.io. It will handle the payments and it's easy to showcase your products.
