A nice read.

I think everyone see himself in this story. In my case replace Escape by Android One!

... and I also was luckier, my Spectrum worked since the first time! ;)

Cripes, yeah, what a flurry of emotions - receive a Speccy for Xmas, then to find out it doesn't work.. :(

What a great read, this literally could have been written by me. I'm the same age and had the same spectrums and even went to the mega drive at the same time. I also missed out on the spectrum community and a cheap 48k membrane bought by my son this year made me aware. I spent 3 months trying to bring my 48k speccie back to life and its almost there but now i have a big shinney new N-go and i love it. :D
