Post by Pegaz »

After almost four years, a fully finished version of the indie game Vectornauts has been released today, with permission from author Dom Reardon.

Amazing game, and sooo funny, really very good done. It remainds me to VVVVVV for PC, and also to Nothing for Spectrum, but this game is easy to complete and very entertaining. Congrats Dom Reardon!!

Had a quick bash on this yesterday & really enjoyed it. Definitely gonna come back for another go later today!

Hearing that it may be a game I can actually complete (assuming my skills are on par with @Bubu's!) will spur me on too! ;)

It's great - it very much has the feel of PC retro indie/retro game.

I managed to trigger a bug by going right to the screen with this message and then coming back from there - the message stays on the screen.

Shooting at the 3 enemies in the screen to the right also seems a bit buggy - sometimes your bullet lags massively.

Brilliant game. I'm glad to see it updated with AY and extra gameplay. The style and setting make it feel more than 'just' another platformer.

I found it easy to finish first time, which isn't a problem as I rarely finish anything these days. In this case I would have happily played more if this was say, level 1 of 3 though.

I agree with people here. It's simple graphics but stylish and a good playability.

One of the best games of 2022 in its simplicity: graphics are readable, sweet difficulty, catchy tune, satisfying ending battle.

A nice game, normally I struggle with AGD platformers (something about the jump mechanic) but this one is a bit more forgiving with platform edges, and the screens are well-designed so you don't have to be pixel-perfect with your jumps (phew!).

...I wouldn't say it's that easy, I'm stuck here (on the two occasions I got here I immediately lost all my lives). I should probably have saved a snapshot after the first time...

You have to get over to the computer on the right. Once you've done that you can go back to the left and shoot the tentacled nasty in it's yellow eye thing.
