I got Rex vibes from it but not enough to give that answer.

Re: Guess the screen$
I was thinking Toy Bizarre, but again the graphics look more professional.

Got to be a Christmas game with all those toys surely?! I can't figure it out though...

Part of me is saying Factory Daze, but surely the objects are too large...

Nah, I'm sticking to the unwritten rule that the games should be from the Speccy's heyday era.

And the only toy-based game I can think of from t'old days is Panic Dizzy...

Re: Guess the screen$
I always have a quick look at the review for these games out of curiosity. I stopped reading the Speccy mags by 91, so I never saw this game originally. However, it looks like SU printed their review twice on consecutive months. Was the Speccy software library that thin on the ground, or was it because the first one was unreadable due to the colour scheme?

...what, that's right? Well strike me down with a feather from the world's tiniest Sqij!.
This is an extra-nasty one because I wouldn't have recognised it myself, even though this is a game I've had since 1987 and played extensively.
...why is it blown up this much when I told the site not to? Hit yourself on the head and try again, postimages.org!

When I upload a picture to postimg, it is also very blown up intially, so I always click on the picture first, which will load it in another view, then I'll right-click the pic to get its URL (in case of your picture that is https://i.postimg.cc/sftHXzgW/mysteryscreen.png ) which is then what I post using the "img" tag.
Re: Guess the screen$
So, this is the Mystery Screen at 1:1 resolution:
Tiny, isn't it? Anyway, let's see how long this one drags on!

Re: Guess the screen$
Seems a pineapple... it reminds me of a Mastertronic game... maybe?
Re: Guess the screen$
It's not a pineapple, and it wasn't from a Mastertronic release - at least, not unless they re-released it while I wasn't looking, and while everyone else wasn't looking either.
It's not a barrel, either.

Re: Guess the screen$
All right, time for a clue, or at least a "slightly easier" fragment from the same game. The above barrel-shaped-thing was from level 7; this, on the other hand, is from level 1 and you'll see it right at the beginning of the game.
