Phone alarm and other sounds

Post by ZX_Steve »

We have 'Phone wallpapers/screensavers' thread. So why not one of pleasant mobile phone alarm sounds to gently wake me up in the morning?

Like most android users, I am woken up in the morning to the default 'Helium' alarm. I'd much rather be put into a great mood, for the whole day, with the smooth tones of a spectrum based (or spectrum inspired) theme.

I hope to get your brain-cogs energised on this idea, Go crazy! :dance

I absolutely agree! Great idea!

Waking up with the Cobra them must be like an adrenalin shot! 8-)

Most of the little jingles from Head over Heels would work. Or work as well as any alarm does at making me hit snooze again.

Loading noise of speedlock 6, such as slap fight! That'd be a good alarm!

If I had loading noise as an alarm I'd be single very very very quickly.

Actually, I think waking up to some Speccy music sounds like a nice idea. Quite fancy Chase HQ or Where Time Stood Still.

Netherworld would he quite cool too, as it builds to a crescendo.

Might set my son’s to such a noise. Maybe it’ll get him out of bed.

Surely you’d want the sweet sweet sound when you hang-glide from the 128K version of Glider Rider to gently wake you up.

Now there's a bit of me that wants to have personalised loading header noise of my common contacts, each with their own one

Just this bit...

PROGRAM: Uglifruit

...and over time I'd be able to discern the difference between them by sound alone, and confidently announce to my partner "ooh, Sean has sent me a message" before looking, and confirm her suspicions than my gradual transformation into cyborg is complete.

I've had the first of these as a text alert for... a number of years that may now be into double digits.

This is the "alarm" sound I've had for every bit as long, and this is when I get a call, mainly because it's some kind of victory when someone out there who has my number remembers that I exist (and it isn't spam).

None of these are Spectrum sounds. Anyone who objects, cope and seethe.
Spectribution: Dr. Jim's Sinclair computing pages.
Features my own programs, modified type-ins, RZXs, character sets & UDGs, and QL type-ins... so far!

I think this thread should be to post sounds not only for waking up/incoming calls, but also short sounds to use when receiving a sms/whatsapp/etc message.

The 'metal' sound when dying in Firelord might be cool.

I still occasionally get the 'up and at em!' jingle from Jack the Nipper in my head in the mornings.

You hear it when you start a new game. It sounds a big like an alarm jingle anyway.

I've tried a few, with mixed results.

At this moment in time.

Pyjamarama (later version) title screen tune

3 Weeks In Paradise 128K Title, slightly different to beeper one

Alchemist title screen tune.

Easy to turn into a small .mp4 and use. The 3Weeks one is a bit quiet compared to the other two, beeper version seems OK.

I did try MM and JSW but they are (Spectrum version at least) not ideal for this purpose.

I on;y have those as a ringtone.
