Not exactly MIA

I've come across a few titles that are marked as MIA, but they actually appear in compilations that are not MIA:
Are these marked as MIA because the original release tape is missing? Or are they marked as MIA by mistake?

I guess is because the original release tape is missing. The version from the compilation can be different from the original.
