Trouble converting snap to tap/tzx

Post by creed79 »

I have took a snapshot of the Dizzy extended editon with the AY music from the trd version in the spectrum 128 personality and have been trying to convert it to a tap or tzx in order to run it in the spectrum next personality of my next and while i can play the snapshot absolutely no problem i like having my games in a tape format. I came across a program with a GUI that does an almost perfect job execpt the final block loads and makes a black line of characters which ruins the bottom of the border graphics. Any ideas?

Have you tried Z80onTAP (http://www.tomdalby.com/other/z80onmdr.html)?

Just to add a bit more info. A lot of snapshot to TAP converters use the screen for their runtime code, this is why the screen gets corrupted. My utility uses a 4 stage loader to remove this corruption which is why I asked if you had tried it. No GUI I'm afraid all command line driven though.

Full link to the utility is https://www.tomdalby.com/other/files/Z80onTAP.zip
