1. Lords of Midnight. I wasn't allowed stay up until midnight back then, so I assumed that's what the adults did at night - riding about fighting dragons etc..
2. War in Middle Earth. I was bad at this, which just made the characters in the book seem even cooler. Adults, eh? Is there anything they can't do?
3. Dark Sceptre. I still want one of those wolf helmets. Maybe one day, when I'm an adult.

Ashamed to say i never played any of these. Lords of Midnight and Dark Star just never made it into my hands back then. I might have played War In Middle Earth once, but i don't really remember it. Tut tut me.
I don't have anything cool to put here, so i'll just be off now to see a priest with yeast stuck between his teeth and his friend called Keith who's a hairpiece thief...

1. Lords of Midnight, probs the best Speccy game
2. Doomdark's Revenge, harder to get into than 1
3. Treachery, only because of WhatHoSnorker's video about it

All Hail Mike Singleton!

Lords of Midnight obviously.
Doomdark's Revenge was bigger but lost some of the magic with the generated names.
War in Middle Earth was fantastic.

I've got Interstellar Intrigue and Seldon's Game open in tabs to check them out....
I have a little YouTube channel of nonsense

I went with Lords of Midnight because it's so iconic, but I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing. Even so, I'd load it up sometimes to wander around and take in the atmosphere.

The only Mike Singleton game I ever got into was Midwinter on the Amiga. I loved it but even then I couldn't be bothered to do the hard graft of recruiting a team. Maybe I'm just too lazy for his games.

Was it going to be any other way? I mean, Lords Of Midnight had to win this and it's no surprise that it did. 15 votes, way way way ahead of all the others.

In a distant joint second place, we have Doomdark's Revenge and Throne Of Fire - 3 votes each.

Then there's a joint third place for Dark Sceptre and Siege - 1 vote each.

And here are the proportional results:

Lords Of Midnight, The by Beyond 21
Doomdark's Revenge by Beyond 6
War In Middle Earth by Melbourne House 6
Dark Sceptre by Firebird 3
Snake Pit by Postern 2
Throne Of Fire by Melbourne House 2
Treachery by C&VG (type-in listing) 2
