PCB design for a Composite Mod with Ground

For experts to discuss very technical stuff and newbies to ask why the Spectrum they bought off ebay doesn't work.

PCB design for a Composite Mod with Ground

Post by lostretrotapes »

Does anyone have a PCB design for a Composite Mod for the 48k Spectrum WITH the ground pins. The only one I can find is groundless and I don't think can be used replacing the entire enclosure.

If none available I'll adapt the Project Speccy one to add them in and put it up for download, but no point if one already exists https://projectspeccy.com/projects/

Not an answer per se, but based on my recent journey I would recommend prototyping S-Video mod and comparing the quality. For me, S-Video mod + S-Video to composite adapter produced the best quality [for composite input]. And you can get an S-Video mod PCB on ebay which does not require modulator tin to be installed.

Yeah, the s-video will be used for a future build and looks really good. Need the comp for this build though...
