Dynamite Dan Dare - Released in 1985½, Dynamite Dan Dare is the quintessential difficult British game. Land your air ship on an asteroid and search for dynamite sticks to blow up Dr Mekon's base. You'll also encounter a lady called Professor Peabody, but she's not your girlfriend so under no circumstances must you touch her.

If anyone ever manages to complete the game (not likely), you can call Mirror Soft Virgin and claim an actual ride into space! (Just hope and pray the developers don't go into liquidation while you're still up there).
