US Gold would be churning out games tied in with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Domark have snapped up the rights to The Great British Bake Off and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

Ocean has just cashed in on the rising popularity of women's football.

Gremlin have just released a game based on the Covid Party-Gate debacle. Basically you're a snivelling sh1t that is desparate to get into the amazing party going on at Number 10 whilst avoiding Covid germs and knackered NHS workers.

They've just released Renegade: Retribution. It's the 16th sequel to Renegade and, like all of them, it's not as good as the original.

Renegades 1, 2 and 4-16 are still better than 3.

Imagine would be hard at work making the new Silent Hill as a 3D Isometric game ala Silent Hill: Book of Memories on the PSP.

Core would be churning out 2D Tomb Raider platformers.

Likewise, Infogrames/Maxis would be churning out tonnes of Assassin's Creed games, having made bank with all their topdown Sims games.

Psygnosis would be about to release GTA6 as a top down game too.

My local vape/novelty toys/american candy shop would be experimenting with software, with a fine array of budget games by Atlantis and Zeppelin.

I'm assuming they'll be displayed on a rickety, rotating metal display stand that makes an atrocious screeching sound when turned?

Ultimate have just released their annual envelope pushing pre-Christmas game. Except... it look suspiciously like the one released last year. And the year before that.

The "I'm sure I've seen this before" bit... 8-)

Strictly Come Dancing - The Computer Game (Domark)
Advanced Dancing Simulator (CodeMasters)
Strictly Dumb Prancing (Players)

Trump Tower Willy (Software Projects)

Celebrities vs. Predator (Tynesoft) turns out to be a blatant Operation Wolf clone by Harry S. Price but is still the Christmas No. 1. :snowman

But copies are hard to come by because all the usual tape production facilities are booked out to produce a million copies of
Pedro, DLC Mission Pack XVIII (Imagine)

The Jet Set Willy movie shattered box office records this spring.
Long-time fans lamented the fact that it was clearly aimed at kids.

The ZX Spectrum VR headset (dubbed the ZX-V_Aaaarrrgh) is blamed for irreparable eye nerve damage after players ignore warnings by scientists and continue to play Fahrenheit 3000 on the device!!

When interviewed, Mickey Sausage from Dudley is quoted as saying 'It done been and gone and med me peepers bad'. Unfortunately Mr Sausage was struck by a passing truck when crossing the road due to the fact his eyes were shagged.

Codemasters would release games that looked very similar to games released four years earlier by other companies. But at one fifth the price... and gameplay.

Ultimate still maintains the intrigue about the most anticipated sequel in Spectrum history: Mire Mare.

37 years after the last game, it seems that this will be the definitive one in which we can see the last and definitive chapter of the Sabreman saga.

The company, which after several shareholding changes now belongs to Amazon, continues without saying a word on its social networks, although a former employee has tweeted: "Mire Mare exists. I've seen it, I've played it!

Angry saga fans have signed in Change.org for the return of the Stamper Brothers.
