Yeah I understand how popular Crash was, but back in the day it was my least favourite of the three. Maybe I was just too immature at the time but, to my giddy teenage eyes, the design of Crash felt more stuffy, fussy and old-fashioned. In contrast, the other two mags had more fun and exciting typography, seemingly more colour (and less white) and just didn't seem to take themselves as seriously. Perhaps I was too young, dumb and superficial at the time, but somehow Your Sinclair really managed to captivate me in a way that Crash never did. Their tagline "It's crap, in a funky skillo sort of way" was a stroke of marketing genius which I really connected with.
