Switching loader for TAP file

Post by Wej1981 »

New to the Spectrum Next (it only arrived yesterday), but I'm trying to work out how you can switch loader from 48K to 128K if you picked the wrong one the first time. I downloaded a 128K game via Next-zxdb and when the loader selection screen appeared, I accidentally picked 48K. Now it always selects that, and displays a screen saying it's a 128K game.

Is there a way to select the loader to use for a particular TAP file?

IIRC, hold down the right Symbol-Shift when selecting the file.

This should give you the option to select a different mode in which to open the tap file.

It remembers the last mode selected per tap file and is why you need to hold down Symbol Shift to change mode.
