I've posted before about the Interface One transmitting at non-standard baud rates under emulation

Seems like the real hardware will actually do it as well...

Well it is bit bashed, so it all comes down to the ROM code. If the code doesn't put in any restrictions, the only limit is the time the Z80 takes to execute the code.

It may be possible to receive and transmit even faster if a machine code routine for a fixed speed was written in non-contended RAM.
