Spectrum Computing

Hello everyone and Happy new year!

I would like to share this little game made with AGDx-mini
"CATTIVIK2024"

The main character is CAttivik a clumsy evil doer (created by the italian cartoonist Bonvi and later developed by another italian cartoonist, Silver) living in the sewer and having all kind of silly/surreal adverntures

It is a (partial) redo of a game i made back in 2013
this time i am experimenting with AGDx-mini in making a platform and using 8x8 sprites that create large charcters using blocks
This means that there are some issues with the grafics here and there, but overall the game is playable and enjoyable

have a go, find it in my dorpbox folder (see the link in the signature), and please be tolerant with the bugs you might find

WONDERFUL GAME!!!
I'm an old zx Spectrum lm coder from Bari Italy...
I'm also a great fan of BONVI'S Characters!!
It's from the age of fifteen that I started coding a Cattivik game like Your's!! (now I'm 53..)
My project was left unfinished because I was coding all by hands converting all graphics from bit on paper to decimal and inserting each value by poke commands...
There were no other tools like now ..
I was using softek super C compiler and custom hand made LM routines for fast moving Sprites ...
I completed several other games ..that are still in my library.. never published..!!
(a port of Asterix from atari 2600 (with AY music on 48k with self builted interface..) , an original Snoopy platform game, a file copy utility and others..)
I've just buyed for christmas a wonderful new Element zx !! (..I think it is the best clone ever made..!!)
And after 38 Years ..I'm back on ZX!!

I would like to share them as soon as possible !!,
but they are still on tape!!!!
Hoping that are still readable...!!..(I'm confident ..it was a good quality tape...)
The problem is that now I live in Rome..and my old stuff is still in Bari!!!
Probably I will be there during Easter..
