Lord of the Rings license/inspiration games not in list

ZXDB gives 14 games when 2 filters `license/inspiration = Lord of the Rings' and `machine = zx spectrum' are applied. But such titles as `War in Middle Earth' & `The hobbit' are missing in that list. Search by 'hobbit' gives 8 titles. Some games are called `El hobbit` or similar. Should those titles be in the result list and increase its count to 22 titles ? Or may be filed 'license/inspiration' has some other meaning - similar but not equal to `about hobbits' ?

The licences for games, products & other artistic works such as films based on The Hobbit and those based on The Lord of the Rings are often distinct. Which has caused... and continues to cause... headaches for the companies licencing works and the various Tolkien companies themselves.

The licences for those games seem to be correct at the moment. The Hobbit was based on The Hobbit. The War in Middle Earth was based on the wider work of Tolkien.

Exactly. Those hobbit games are based on "The Hobbit", not "The Lord of the Rings".

My aim was to find all games about hobbits. But for some mistic reason i got trapped with `Lord of the rings` title instead of 'the hobbit'. I can see both titles among the licenses now.

But i still have no luck to search Tolkien without direct link. I have tried both words Tolkien/hobbit when searching in group/tag field. Other fields look like not relevant, including `feature' filed.

In QUICK SEARCH select "entity" and type "tolkien". It will give you a link to J.R.R. Tolkien
