Collection clear out

Post by jpnz »

Hello folks, I'm having a clear out of the collection

I'll be offering "stuff" to the SC community first, sharing the love

If there's no interest then I'll list on the domestic trading site https://www.trademe.co.nz/ for the citizens of Aotearoa and Aussie

The "stuff" won't be listed on ebay as this isn't a price gouging exercise

I have 4x IF2 cartridges - Chess, Jetpac, Trans Am and Cookie

If you're interested just send a PM saying "I'm interested"

For the benefit of everyone, please post to this thread for any general questions

I'll follow up in a week or so that any expressions of interest can be made

Cheers!

The cases are not in the greatest condition, unsurprisingly Chess is the best preserved

Instructions are missing from Tranz Am and the previous owner has documented their Jetpac high scores

All the trays have some form of damage, but all the cartridge skirts are preseent

As a bonus though, the cartridges work:

Postage is death, NZ is far away, and I was always a software nerd. Don't worry, I only hijack a thread once. Just wanted to say that I very much appreciate you offering kit to the user scene first. The pics show that you cared about it.
But why are you getting rid of it?

Yeah, postage may be a kicker

All of this is just sat in a cupboard not being used, so someone else can have it if they want it

Are there any variables with unusual names lol ;)

I once had to correct all of Baggers' amusing spellings of count (missing one of the letters, no prizes for guessing which one) he used throughout our code when the boss found out we had to send a symbol file to Sony... but local variable names aren't included in the symbol file (boss wasn't as clever as he thought he was lol). Not even Jim would use count as a global variable, that would be bonkers :) (ok, I named many of my local variables temp but whatevs)

Still it was 5 minutes work maybe that I probably made last for at least a few days :)

Nice collection of carts (if a wee bit rough round the edges).

I sold my collection a few years back, something I now regret.

Serious question - how have those cartridges ended up on the other side of the world?!

I had to do some serious searching back in the 80's to obtain mine.
