I've got a day off work this week, and decided it might be nice to have a day out wandering around, see if I can find any bricks and mortar retro gaming shops to visit that might have some nice speccy gear...
Blimey it looks a bit sparse.
Anyone know of a local gaming shop that caters for our particular niche?
I live in the East Midlands, but not averse to a bit of travelling for my gaming needs
Currently, about the only shop I'm aware of is Hidden Chest Gaming, in Brierley hill, Birmingham way, but as luck would have it they don't open on my day off (Thursday) . So I'll have to visit them another time...

Re: Bricks and Mortar shops...
I stumbled on this a while back. No idea who runs it or how up to date it is but you can use the Filters tab on the right to locate physical shops. It has a couple of shops in my local area that I know to be relatively recent and still trading, so I'd hope it's pretty accurate: https://retro.directory/

There's Gameone in Stoke on Trent (no a million miles from you):

Not sure if they're a bit more console focussed as opposed to our beloved rubber keyed beauty.

'Doorway to Dorkness' in Doncaster (love the name) have 'several hundred' speccy tapes - I shall be visiting tomorrow...
