STM32 Bot

Post by SteveSmith »

In reference to this (rightly) locked thread at viewtopic.php?t=11222 I've just done a google, and there is bot software called STM32. (Apologies if this was blindingly obvious and/or has already been posted by someone).

https://github.com/u2man/stm32-telegram-bot

And it does ask the question, how long before this and other web forums are populated by intelligent bots? Apart from this obvious one, has it already started? Is there anyone else here or is it just me??!

Admin note - The post referenced above has now been deleted. (PJ 27/03/24)

The STM32 is a 32 bit ARM microprocessor that's on various popular electronics dev boards.

Bleep bloop.

AI should only be allowed to read the internet, never to write.

A little bit scary. If you never had any shred of doubt it was a bot - and not a weird fanatic with bad grammar - you obviously haven't spent much time on Amiga forums. :D

Not totally sure but iirc was a post askink if the Spectrum community could be interested in a demake of a game called "Mechathroids" or something similar.

I thought it was very entertaining, but it really has no place in here.

At least it could spell ZX_Spectrum.

I think the game mentioned was Mechanarium. It’s a lovely indie adventure game. Well known for its hand-drawn graphics, so it doesn’t seem like a good fit for a Speccy demake(?) but I suppose it has a lot in common with Dizzy in terms of gameplay (but with more atmosphere and story).

It's clear, we will need the Voight-Kampff test as captcha.

To me the most interesting thing is that the post received some likes and sincere answers. Passed the Turing test. For some time the cheap works where condemned as "it can be made by machines" and everyone focused in arts and blablabla. It's done. La Mettrie was right.

PS: Gómez Pereira and Descartes, I'm looking at you.
