Characters we play in games

You don't play with a spaceship at all. It's a maze game. There are four different characters: one can jump, one can fly, etc. -- it's real strategy with the teleporter.

I thought it was a space ship or some vehicle.
We often play as a human or an animal, monster or vehicle. Some games use objects as protagonist. What other examples of protagonist do games have ?
