A title that immediately makes me think of Brian Clough, but it's actually one of Cult's rare games that have nothing to do with football.

Software House, despite it being slightly buggy and i always go bankrupt quickly. On the bench is another good one, strangely playable even after you win everything. Played Striker but that had a habit resetting when it went to the animated section. Was rubbish anyway.

Kemshu is the only one that interests me really. It's a not half bad puzzle game, if a bit tricky due to the oversensitive controls.

Am i right in saying Cult and D&H games released games sent in by programmers rather than being written in house?

Spent many an hour with On The Bench. Also like Kemshu.

Software House has won this (rightfully in my opinion), with six votes! Definitely a 'meta' game, that!

The text adventure, The Damned Forest has come second, with five votes.

Kemshu, a fast-moving puzzle-based game, is third, with four votes.

The only football-related title to get a vote, is Cup Football, ranking fourth.

Yeah, for a label that's got a LOT of sports-related games, this is quite jaw-dropping!

And the proportional results are a bit different:

Damned Forest, The 6
Software House 3
Banger Racer 2
Rugby Coach 2
Soccer Q 2
Striker 2
On The Bench 1

Apologies if I've asked this previously @PeteProdge, but do you keep a summary list of the winners from each poll?

When you come to the end we could potentially set-up a special page from the main website do show them all.

Yes! Just updated it.

I like the idea of that. I'm not sure what 'the end' can really be. I've plucked software labels from the alphabet poll winners, a late-era Sinclair User edition, the first ever Crash, a personal selection of homebrew labels and now nearly at the end of this mid-era Your Sinclair issue (just Anco, Dinamic and Future Stars to go). Not too sure where to go.

I'll get updating the spreadsheet at some point. Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you a Google Drive share link to it!

I just wanted to add another shout out to Kemshu - a very interesting outlier from this publisher. I don't know if this is a well established type of puzzle, but I'd never heard of it or this game before. As noted in this thread, the keys are a bit twitchy, but it's a very addictive puzzle otherwise.
