Possible error: author of "Light Cycle" on SAM Coupé

Post by equinox »

A random observation while browsing the archive:
https://spectrumcomputing.co.uk/entry/2 ... ight_Cycle
The "Creator" is given as Daniel Cannon (fairly plausible, since he seems to have been active around 1990, and had a Plus D disk drive -- the kind of person who might have had a SAM Coupé), but the screenshot says "By Ian Slavin".
So probably Ian needs to be added, and possibly Daniel needs to be removed (unless it was a joint work, and he got no title-screen credit).

Dan definitely did have a SAM, but you're right that the author should be Ian Slavin for this one I think. Ian was a very well known coder on the SAM scene.

Ian was credited for the game when it appeared on Fred issue 9...

I'm guessing there was some confusion made by the magazine. Presumably ZAT Quartet submitted some programs for inclusion on the tape to advertise their 'zine. (Daniel wrote for ZAT).
